Leadership

Since 1985, Mr. Douple has served as the business manager and secretary-treasurer of Canopy, Inc. and The Plains Redevelopment Corporation. Earl earned a BA from Dickinson College, a well as a LLM from Georgetown University and a MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School. His thirty-five years of professional experience include tax, estate and financial planning, asset management, and allocation of financial holdings among various asset classes. Earl is the father of two daughters and lives with his wife Christine in The Plains.

Mr. Seilheimer is the founder, president, and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Corporation, the largest marketer of luxury residential estate and farm property in the world. Charlie has served in numerous business and charitable boards that reflect his interests in the arts, education, conservation, and history. Charlie and his wife Mary Lou are collectors of American paintings and 18th and 19th century furniture. The Seilheimers reside at Mount Sharon Farm, have two children, and four grandchildren.

Preservationist and Community Developer, Mrs. Currier helped to secure the initial funding necessary to purchase the Mill site, following the fire of 1998 that gutted the structure. That same year, Andrea founded the Turn the Mil Around Campaign with the mission to preserve and advocate the history of the Mill’s service to the communities of Fauquier and Prince William counties. Andrea and her family live on Kinloch Farm in the Plains.

Mrs. Garreau serves as a member of the Fauquier County Planning Commission. In addition, Adrienne has served with several other boards, including Citizens for Fauquier County, the Piedmont chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society, and the Hill School Arboretum. For thirty years Adrienne wrote the Backyard Garden column in The Washington Post. Adrienne and her husband Joel have two daughters and live in Broad Run, Virginia.

Dr. Seager was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, and obtained his degree in veterinary science from Trinity College. Stephen served on the faculties of the University of Oregon Medical Center, Baylor College of Medicine, and Texas A&M University. Since retiring from academics, Stephen has devoted his life to supporting numerous community projects in his beloved Virginia.

Mr. Allard holds over thirty years of experience working in the investment industry. Prior to his current tenure as the CEO for Canopy, Inc. Eric served with Goldman Sachs.
